Our beloved Chance La Roy, aka Royfat perched in the sunshine guarding his Kingdom of Fatland.

Black Walnut is one of Cathy’s favorite woods.  Apparently, it was also one of Chance La Roy’s!

Our wood comes from a variety of sources, including family, friends and referrals.

Tools of our trade

Gary & Cathy in Fatland

After retiring and enjoying a few months of relaxation, we returned to our wood-turning hobby. The shops were stocked with a collection of various types of wood from friends and family.

In our workshop, the large lathe was readied for bowls, platters, vases and wooden handles.

The smaller lathe was set up for wooden pens, pill cases, key chains, salt shakers and pepper grinders. And we let the fun begin!

All our serving pieces have food safe finishes and are ready to use and enjoy for many years.

By utilizing and memorializing downed trees and old wooden structures, we strive to honor the past while creating extraordinary items for every day life.

Because wood has such warm and vibrant colors and hues to it, we enjoy bringing these characteristics to life to be seen and showcased.

Please enjoy and use these functional pieces of art designed and created by

FATLAND WOOD’N CREATIONS.

We certainly enjoyed making them for you!
